I do not support bans on foods that are allergens unless it is ALL foods. Not happening. Awareness is the key. I have 1 daughter allergic to peanuts, dairy, onions and mango, 1 allergic to mango and I am allergic to dairy, shellfish, treenuts and mango plus extremely sensitive to aspartame. Makes life crazy. I am 70 and I still hate food based fellowship times. People are always bringing sandwiches with cheese and the tell me just remove it. NO! And mango season is horrible. When that arrives I will not touch any food on the table as I am ANA to that. I do find my deaf group more helpful and aware than the hearing groups. They always make sure that I know what will be served and often provide some safe options for me.
